They Replaced Me. Now I’m Building Something They Can’t Replace.
By Randell Hynes
June 2025. That’s when it happened.
After 33 years in technology, after decades of building systems, solving problems, and delivering value, I was replaced.
Not by someone more skilled. Not by someone more experienced. Not by someone who could do the job better.
I was replaced by H-1B workers.
And I was forced to train them.
The Day Everything Changed
I walked into work like any other day. Thirty-three years of expertise. A track record of success. A career built on merit, on results, on being the person who could solve the problems no one else could.
Then came the meeting.
The HR manager. The department head. The news I never expected to hear.
“We’re making changes.”
“We’re bringing in new team members.”
“You’ll need to train them.”
I asked the obvious questions. Why? What’s happening? Is there a performance issue?
No performance issues. No problems. No concerns.
Just a business decision.
A business decision that would save the company money. A business decision that would replace an American worker with cheaper labor. A business decision that was perfectly legal.
Perfectly legal. But was it right?
The Training
For weeks, I sat with my replacements. I showed them the systems I had built. I explained the processes I had developed. I transferred three decades of knowledge to people who would take my job.
They were polite. They were professional. They were just doing their jobs.
But every time I showed them something, every time I explained a system, every time I transferred knowledge that had taken me years to acquire, I felt a piece of myself being taken away.
This wasn’t just about a job. This was about my life’s work. This was about my expertise. This was about my value as a human being.
I was being told, in no uncertain terms: You are disposable. Your experience doesn’t matter. Your expertise doesn’t matter. You are a cost to be eliminated.
The Realization
As I trained my replacements, something became clear.
This wasn’t just happening to me.
I started talking to colleagues. I started reading stories online. I started looking at the data.
What I found shocked me.
The Data Doesn’t Lie
The Department of Labor’s own numbers tell the story:
- $48,000: The wage gap between H-1B workers and American tech workers
- 85%: The percentage of H-1B applications for “entry-level” positions
- 400%: The increase in H-1B approvals since 2000
- 3,426: The number of American workers Microsoft laid off between 2022 and 2024
- 3,259: The number of H-1B workers Microsoft hired in the same period
This isn’t filling labor shortages. This isn’t bringing in specialized skills.
This is systematic replacement.
This is wage suppression.
This is intentional.
The Paper Tiger
I thought I had rights. I thought the law protected me.
Section 7 of the National Labor Relations Act gives workers the right to organize, to discuss working conditions, to act together.
But try using those rights and watch what happens.
- $50: The fine for violations worth thousands
- 3+ years: The time it takes to get justice
- No personal liability: For executives who break the law
That’s not a law. That’s a Paper Tiger.
Fierce on paper. Powerless in reality.
The Corruption Loop
Why does this happen? Why do our laws have no teeth?
The answer is simple: The corruption loop.
- Corporations want no enforcement of worker rights
- Corporations fund politicians’ campaigns
- Politicians write laws without enforcement
- Corporations profit from violations
- Corporations donate more to politicians
- Repeat
The US Chamber of Commerce spends over $150 million every year on lobbying. Their Board includes the CEO of the #1 H-1B employer in America. They sued the US government to block visa fraud enforcement.
They’re not the voice of American business. They’re the reason your congressman doesn’t work for you.
The $37.5 Trillion Theft
Since 1973, $37.5 trillion has been transferred from American workers to capital.
That’s not a market fluctuation. That’s not an economic cycle.
That’s theft.
Theft made possible by laws without enforcement. Theft made possible by a Congress that serves donors, not workers. Theft made possible by a system that treats workers as disposable.
I’m Fighting Back
I could have walked away. I could have accepted it. I could have moved on.
But I chose to fight.
I filed an EEOC case. I’m challenging the system that replaced me. I’m standing up for every worker who has been told they’re disposable.
But I’m not just fighting for myself.
I’m building something bigger.
The Movement
I founded the US Workers Alliance because I realized something important:
I’m not alone.
There are 170 million American workers. And we’re all facing the same system.
- The system that treats us as costs, not assets
- The system that values profits over people
- The system that writes laws without enforcement
- The system that serves corporations, not workers
But here’s the thing: 170 million workers organized is the largest political force in American history.
Together, we’re unstoppable.
The C.L.A.W.S. Act
We’re not asking for new rights. We’re demanding enforcement of existing rights.
The C.L.A.W.S. Act (Comprehensive Labor And Worker Safeguards Act) will:
- $50,000+ penalties per violation
- 30-day resolution timeline
- Personal liability for executives
- Protection for ALL 170 million workers
- Criminal penalties for visa fraud
Real enforcement. Real consequences. Real power.
Clean Slate 2028
We’re giving Congress until May 1, 2028, to pass C.L.A.W.S.
If they pass it with real enforcement, they own the worker issue for a generation.
If they water it down or reject it, we replace them district by district.
This is not negotiation. This is notification.
In 2028, we’ll replace every member of Congress with patriots who serve the people, not corporate donors.
July 4, 2026: Workers’ Independence Day
Nationwide rallies at celebrations across America.
Workers wearing red, white, and blue ribbons.
A declaration that we will no longer be silent.
127,843 workers have already joined from 47 states.
Will you join us?
This Is Not Revolution. This Is Restoration.
We’re not trying to overthrow the American system. We’re trying to restore it.
Restore the system that worked from 1948 to 1987, when labor received 63.6% of income and the middle class was strong.
Restore constitutional balance, where power is checked and answerable to the sovereign people.
Restore the rule of law, where laws have enforcement and consequences.
Restore the dignity of work, where workers are valued for their contributions, not treated as disposable.
Why I’m Doing This
I’m doing this because I believe in America.
I believe in the American system. I believe in the American worker. I believe in the American dream.
But the American dream is under attack. It’s being stolen by a system that serves corporations, not people.
I’m fighting back because I have to. Because if I don’t, who will?
I’m fighting back for my children. I’m fighting back for your children. I’m fighting back for every worker who has been told they’re disposable.
