We Are Replacing All 535 of You!
A Letter from Any American Worker to My Representative and Senators
This declaration is from any American worker who has never had a voice in Washington, D.C. — one of the millions with their heads down and hard at work every single day, keeping this nation running, yet literally silenced, without true representation and no protection when co-workers ask their boss for better.
For this reason and the ones described within, we are replacing all of you.
To the Honorable [Full Name of Your U.S. Representative]
U.S. House of Representatives
[Their Washington, D.C. office address]
And to the Honorable [Full Name of Your First U.S. Senator]
And the Honorable [Full Name of Your Second U.S. Senator]
United States Senate
Washington, D.C. 20510
Subject: We Are Replacing You
Dear Representative [Last Name] and Senators [Last Name] and [Last Name],
This declaration is from any American worker who doesn’t have a voice in Washington.
For decades, Congress has been openly controlled by corporate donors, K Street lobbyists, and foreign-influenced interests over the people. By a system that treats corporations as “persons” and money as “speech,” real workers have been reduced to replaceable costs. You have been complicit in offshoring, H-1B visa abuse, AI displacement without protections, and retaliation with impunity — all while corporate profits soared and working families struggled.
Struggled because there was a choice — a deliberate choice — to keep more and more and more money previously earmarked for wages. Provable statistics trace the path and put the total wages retained at $31 trillion. Kept as profit, instead of going to wages.
This has been an ongoing emergency situation, yet you show no sense of urgency. We have no confidence that corporations will ever allow you to act in the interest of people, either in normal times or during emergencies.
Today, 90 million Americans are living near or in poverty — millions of them children whose futures are being stolen while going to bed hungry, and millions of them seniors who worked their entire lives only to face insecurity in their final years. Proper wages would alleviate this pain. An American retiring today would have earned $750,000 more in wages if it weren’t for the greedy scheme that steadily erodes wages. These are your actual constituents, our neighbors, our families, our fellow workers — struggling while corporate profits soar and lobbyists set your priorities.
Your silence — or your rare, ineffective words — is damning evidence of your complicity in the destruction of our Republic.
If just one of you had ever stood up, without being prompted, and declared:
“The family is the most important unit in American life, and wages are the lifeblood of families. Everything is connected to adequate wages. Every American worker must be protected when exercising Section 7 rights, regardless of unionization.”
Things could have been different.
But that day never came.
If there was any record of even one of you meaningfully acting on the truth that “corporations are not people, and money is not speech — that is clearly not what the United States Constitution intended,” things could have been different.
But that day never came.
Our amplified voice will restore the Republic.
You have collectively divided, distracted, and overwhelmed us while we struggled to keep our lights on, with wages intentionally suppressed and costs rising. We’re taking our seats at the table now in direct opposition to a corrupted Congress that serves corporations first.
We are instead choosing new representatives from among us to do what the people want—instead of only selecting from the corporate candidates we’re force-fed.
Sincerely,
